Supports for Businesses

At the moment, English is the main language of business in this country. Here is Cloughaneely, we hope to find a place for Irish in the workplace, alongside English.

Irish/Bilingual Signage

If you are planning to get new signage for your business, which will be in Irish or bilingual, the Language Planning team may be able to offer you supports! Apply for support here:

Practical language course for spoken Irish in the workplace

The Language Planning team provide fundamental Irish courses to local businesses/entrepreneurs which focus on practical spoken Irish which is easy to apply to your work life: Sign your business up for a free course:

Translation Services

If you are planning on publishing a text for your business in Irish or bilingually (e.g. brochure/leaflet, signage, newsletter, menu, website) the Language Planning team may be able to translate your text for you for free (depending on the word count): Apply for translation support here:

Business Resources & the Business Support Scheme 2021

Foras na Gaeilge provide varies resources and practical items to businesses who want to use Irish (or a mixture of Irish and English) in their work:

~ The Business Support Scheme 2021: This scheme supports small and medium-sized commercial enterprises promote Irish in their businesses through signage, packaging, websites and printed marketing material. Grants & Financial Support for Businesses (Údarás na Gaeltachta)

Údarás na Gaeltachta offer various grants and financial incentives to support businesses operating in the Cloughaneely Gaeltacht. More info here.
